Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker to join a growing engineering team within a precision manufacturing environment.
This role offers a varied workload, combining precision tool manufacture, refurbishment, tooling improvements and engineering support. You'll work closely with Production, Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets the demands of a fast-moving manufacturing operation.
This is what you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for supporting production through the manufacture, improvement and maintenance of precision tooling using a range of conventional and semi-CNC machinery.
Manufacture new tooling and tooling components from engineering drawingsRefurbish, modify and improve existing toolingWork on tooling projects supporting new products and manufacturing developmentsProvide practical engineering solutions to manufacturing challengesContribute to tooling innovation, process improvement and operational efficiency The experience you'll bring to the team
Proven Toolmaker or Toolroom Engineering experienceStrong manual and CNC machining capabilityExperience producing precision tooling to demanding tolerancesAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong communication and problem-solving skills There's also some must haves
Apprentice-trained or equivalent engineering backgroundMilling and turning experienceAbility to work a rotating two-shift pattern And this is what you'll get in return
