The Role As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you could be working across a variety of educational settings, supporting pupils with a range of needs. Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groupsAssisting teachers with classroom activities and learningSupporting children with SEND and additional needsHelping to create a positive and engaging learning environmentEncouraging pupils to develop confidence and independenceSupporting pupils with their behaviour and emotional wellbeingBuilding positive relationships with pupils and staffAdapting quickly to different schools, classrooms and pupil needs What We're Looking For We are keen to hear from candidates who:
Have experience working with children or young peopleHave previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar roleAre patient, enthusiastic and adaptableCan build positive relationships with pupilsAre confident working as part of a teamHave a genuine passion for supporting children and their education Experience working in a school is beneficial, but we also welcome candidates with relevant experience in SEND, childcare, care, youth work or similar environments.
