Rapier Employment are currently recruiting for 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our well-established logistics client based in Ipswich. Your responsibilities will include: Completing multi-drop home deliveries to customers' homesDelivering heavy goods and household appliancesCarrying out manual handling and heavy lifting as part of a two-person teamPlanning delivery routes and completing deliveries efficientlyCompleting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defectsMaintaining accurate Digital Tachograph records and delivery paperworkProviding professional and friendly customer service at each deliveryFollowing all road transport legislation and company procedures Shift Pattern You will be required to work one of the following shift patterns: Sunday to ThursdayTuesday to Saturday Start times are from 06:00. Overtime may also be available.
What We're Looking For To be considered for this 7.5 Tonne Driver position, you will need: A valid UK Driving LicenceA valid Driver CPC Qualification CardA valid Digital Tachograph CardMinimum 6 months driving experienceA flexible approach to weekend workingAbility to undertake manual handling and heavy liftingA reliable, professional and punctual attitudeWillingness to undergo a Basic DBS check Experience That Would Be Beneficial Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous: Multi-drop deliveryHome delivery7.5 TonneDelivering large or bulky goodsFurniture or household appliance deliveryCustomer-facing delivery roles Training & Support You will receive industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment, helping you settle into the role and understand the delivery operation.
