Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join a busy pallet distribution operation based in Ely. The successful candidate must have previous experience in pallet network deliveries and multi-drop driving, along with a good knowledge of the local area.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is physically fit, hardworking and confident managing multiple deliveries throughout the working day.
Key Responsibilities
Driving a Class 2 HGV to complete multi-drop pallet deliveries and collections.Working within a pallet line network, ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.Loading, unloading and handling palletised goods as required.Planning routes and managing delivery schedules to meet customer deadlines.Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all delivery paperwork is accurate.Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.Following all road safety regulations and company procedures. A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence.Previous experience in multi-drop pallet deliveries is essential.Experience working within a pallet network is highly desirable.Must be physically fit and comfortable with the physical demands of the role.Good knowledge of Ely and the surrounding areas.Reliable, punctual and professional, with a strong work ethic.Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
