Nursery Practitioner
Location: Nottingham, NG5 Start Date: Immediate Start Salary: £14.25 - £16.50 per hour

TeacherActive is pleased to be working with a nursery setting in Nottingham (NG5) that is looking to welcome a passionate and motivated Nursery Practitioner to its team. The nursery is focused on providing a stimulating and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop their curiosity and build confidence through meaningful play and positive interactions.
This full-time Nursery Practitioner opportunity involves working varied shifts, which may begin at 8:00am or finish as late as 6:00pm, depending on the nursery rota. You will support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, help develop purposeful continuous provision and lead engaging small group activities that promote children's communication, social skills and development. You will also support daily routines, provide personal care where required and use your understanding of the Early Learning Goals to encourage children's progress and independence.
The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification, an equivalent qualification, or a minimum of 6 months' relevant experience working within an Early Years setting • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and Early Learning Goals • Experience supporting children's development through continuous provision, child-led activities and play-based learning • Confidence delivering small group activities and adapting learning experiences to meet individual developmental needs • A caring, enthusiastic and proactive approach, including confidence supporting children with personal care and daily routines • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing. Being able to drive would be advantageous but is not essential
