Interim Group Consolidation Accountant up to £75k depending on experience London - office 1 day a week Must be able to start ASAP
I am looking for an Interim Group Consolidation Accountant to join a dynamic, international business undergoing a significant period of transformation and change.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting, statutory accounts and regulatory submissions. You will also contribute to strengthening the Group’s financial control environment and embedding robust processes across the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidated accounts and reporting deliverables in accordance with IFRSSupport the delivery of financial reporting to senior management, the Board and external regulatorsMaintain and enhance the Group’s financial controls and consolidation processesPartner with Treasury to review and reconcile movements in investments and debtLead monthly balance sheet variance analysis and maintain key balance sheet reconciliationsSupport the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, reports and disclosuresLiaise directly with external auditors, ensuring information requests are addressed accurately and on timePrepare technical accounting papers and memoranda in line with IFRS and applicable local accounting standardsSupport compliance with relevant regulatory requirementsImplement the Group’s transfer pricing policy, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment under IFRS and UK GAAPContribute to continuous improvement across financial reporting, processes and controls Candidate specification:
Proven experience in group accounting, consolidation and financial reportingStrong technical knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirementsExperience preparing consolidated financial statements and supporting external auditsA strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controlsThe ability to investigate complex accounting issues and prepare clear technical documentationExcellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlinesA proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a changing business environmentStrong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury and other business functions
