Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a Production Engineer to drive improvements across their manufacturing operation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys being close to the shop floor and making tangible improvements to the way products are manufactured.
You'll play a key role in improving manufacturing performance, working alongside production and engineering teams to make processes more efficient, reliable and capable of supporting future growth.
The role will involve:
Identifying and delivering improvements across production processes and workflowSupporting the introduction of new products and manufacturing methodsDeveloping practical solutions around tooling, fixtures and equipmentUsing production performance information to identify and tackle recurring issuesHelping improve productivity, quality, safety and process reliabilityTaking ownership of engineering changes and ensuring improvements are embeddedSupporting equipment upgrades, installations and improvement projectsWorking cross-functionally with production, engineering and supply chain teamsIntroducing more effective ways of using manufacturing data and technologyDelivering projects ranging from quick shop-floor improvements through to larger investment initiatives What you'll bring as the Production Engineer:
We're looking for someone with a solid background in manufacturing engineering, ideally with experience in a production environment where you've been able to make a visible impact.
You'll ideally have:
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing engineering environmentGood working knowledge of CADA track record of improving manufacturing processes and implementing changeStrong practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to work directly with production teamsAn engineering qualification such as HNC/HND or Degree would be advantageousLean, Six Sigma or similar improvement experience would be a bonus Interested?
