Credit Controller
Location: Sutton, Hybrid (Office Mon-Wed, Home Thurs-Fri)Duration: Initial 2-Week Temporary AssignmentStart Date: ImmediateHours: 09.00- 17.00 (35 hours)Hourly Rate: £16.48 per hour PAYE or £20.92 per hour via an umbrella company We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a small finance team in Sutton on an immediate basis for an initial two-week assignment. This role is crucial for managing the sales ledger, chasing outstanding debt, and updating accounts during a period of team absence due to sickness.
Day-to-day of the role:
Chasing outstanding customer debt via telephone and email.Managing and reviewing aged debtor reports.Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.Resolving invoice and payment queries.Ensuring accurate records of collection activity are maintained.Allocating customer payments where required.Liaising with internal teams to resolve account discrepancies.Assisting with bringing the sales ledger up to date.Supporting the finance team with ad hoc credit control duties. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Credit Control role.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Confidence in speaking with customers over the phone.Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.Available to start immediately.
