Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants to work across specialist schools, alternative provisions and mainstream settings throughout Kingston and Surrey.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people who may experience social, emotional and mental health needs, challenging behaviour, anxiety, attachment difficulties or barriers to learning.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group supportBuild positive and trusting relationships with pupilsSupport pupils with emotional regulation and behaviourHelp pupils engage with their learningWork closely with teachers and pastoral teamsUse positive behaviour strategies to encourage progressSupport pupils' confidence, independence and social development We're looking for someone who is:
Patient, calm and consistentResilient and confident managing challenging behaviourPassionate about helping young people overcome barriersAble to build strong professional relationshipsExperienced in education, youth work, care, support work or a similar environment Experience with SEMH, AP, PRU or challenging behaviour is highly desirable, but we are also interested in candidates with transferable experience.
