The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager and forming part of the local leadership team, the Financial Controller will provide financial leadership across the UK & Ireland operation.
This is a highly visible role that combines strong financial control with commercial business partnering. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, driving operational improvements, and leading the finance team to deliver best-in-class financial support to the business.
Working closely with operations, sales, supply chain and senior leadership, you will play a key role in helping the business achieve its growth ambitions across the region. Based at the company's Glenrothes headquarters, the role offers a flexible hybrid working model whilst maintaining close collaboration with the UK & Ireland leadership team and wider operations function.
Key Responsibilities Lead all financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting.Manage forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning processes.Maintain a strong financial control environment across the business.Lead internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.Partner closely with operational leaders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.Analyse business performance, profitability and operational efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement.Support inventory management, capital expenditure planning and working capital initiatives.Drive cost saving and margin enhancement projects across the business.Provide leadership, coaching and support to the finance team.Champion continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, systems and reporting.Act as a trusted adviser to the Business Unit Leadership Team. About You We're keen to speak with qualified finance professionals who can demonstrate:
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or international equivalent).Previous experience within a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or similar leadership role.Strong technical accounting, reporting and financial control expertise.Experience managing budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.The ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful commercial insights.A proactive and solutions-focused approach.Strong Excel and ERP systems experience.Experience supporting operational, manufacturing, engineering or supply chain environments would be advantageous.
