About the role and school
Teach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets that is looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will work alongside the class teacher to support children with their early development, learning and social skills. The role will involve helping create a positive, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can build confidence and independence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of play-based learning and strong relationships.
Job Responsibilities
Support children across the EYFS curriculumAssist with play-based and practical learning activitiesSupport children's communication, language and social developmentEncourage independence and confidenceWork closely with the class teacher and wider support teamProvide additional support to children who require itHelp maintain a safe, engaging and stimulating classroom environmentSupport routines, transitions and classroom organisationBuild positive relationships with children and familiesMonitor and communicate children's progress where appropriate Qualifications/Experience
Previous experience working within an Early Years or primary settingUnderstanding of the EYFS framework and child developmentEarly Years Teaching Assistant or nursery experience desirableA patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to support children with different needs and abilitiesReliable, proactive and adaptableGenuine passion for working with young children Next steps:
