School Caretaker - Secondary School
Location: Sittingbourne Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm Start: ASAP
I am currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to join a busy secondary school in Sittingbourne.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring the buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained.
Key responsibilities:
Opening and securing the school siteDaily site and security checksGeneral maintenance and minor repairsEnsuring the school is clean, safe and well presentedSetting up rooms and areas for school activities and eventsLiaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issuesGeneral premises and facilities duties The ideal candidate will have:
Previous caretaking, premises or facilities experienceGood general maintenance skillsA reliable and practical approachGood awareness of health & safetyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPrevious school experience would be advantageousA valid DBS or be willing to undergo a DBS check Please note: Candidates must have a DBS in place or be willing to complete the DBS process before starting.
