Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a leading specialist manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to take ownership of health, safety and environmental performance within a complex, high-risk manufacturing environment, driving continuous improvement and embedding a proactive safety culture across the site.
Reporting to the Production Director and Chief Executive Officer, you will act as the lead competent person for health, safety and environmental matters, providing strategic direction alongside hands-on operational support.
You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality teams to ensure compliance, reduce risk and continually improve safety and environmental standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the site's Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulatory requirements.Maintain and improve HSE management systems, including ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements.Drive a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, employee engagement and behavioural safety initiatives.
