A leading main contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a high-profile infrastructure project in Glasgow. The scheme involves delivery of a new waste water treatment plant and sludge processing facility, representing a flagship investment in Scotland's water infrastructure.
Role Overview This is a site-based position, where the Senior Quantity Surveyor will act as the commercial lead, ensuring financial control, contract compliance, and effective risk management. The role requires close collaboration with the site delivery team to secure cost, programme, and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial and contractual management on the projectManage subcontract procurement, administration, payments, and final accountsDeliver accurate cost forecasting, valuations, and commercial reportingEnsure full compliance with NEC3 contractsOversee risk, change, and claims management to protect project and business interestsPartner with project leadership to achieve delivery targets Essential Requirements
Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environmentStrong working knowledge of NEC3 contractsBackground in infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering projectsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsDetail-focused and proactive approach to commercial leadership Desirable
Experience delivering projects within the water sectorProfessional membership or working towards chartership (RICS, ICES, or equivalent) Benefits and Career Development
