Credit Controller
Hadleigh, NR Ipswich/Sudbury/Colchester
Hybrid working - 3 days office / 2 days from home
Flexible working hours
£30,000 - £32,000 + bonus
Reporting to the Financial Controller working as part of a finance team of 15, for a very successful and growing manufacturing company. You will work very closely with the Senior Credit Controller and be responsible for managing a ledger of 250 live accounts with a monthly ledger value around £6m monthly.
Chasing outstanding debts by telephone, email and portalsPre chasing to check invoices have been authorised for payment and resolving any queries before due date it neededEnsuring sales ledger accounts are within their agreed credit termsCredit checking: setting & reviewing limits based on credit assessmentsManage the company credit insurance, ensuring credit risk is kept to a minimumAllocation of cash and taking payments over the phone when neededMonthly statement runsInvestigating and resolving invoice queriesLiaise with internal sales department and the customer to resolve efficientlyResolve day to day credit control issues and problem accounts in a timely manner, understanding how and when to escalate theseProduce reports on aged debtWeekly meetings with the Financial Controller or Finance Director to discuss aged debt Requirements
Minimum of 5 years Credit Control experienceExperience within construction, manufacturing or distribution sectors would be advantageousExperience of dealing with large complex customers who use portalsExcellent communication skills, able to build relationships internally and with customersExcellent customer service, ability to build and maintain strong business relationshipsStrong work ethic and passionate about credit controlAdvanced Excel skillsAbility to work as part of a team If you are interested in this vacancy please contact Sarah Chandler at CWC Recruitment Ltd.
