We’re recruiting an Assistant Librarian to join a thriving school environment – a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and engagement.
Working alongside the School Librarian, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an efficient, welcoming and inspiring library service to both students and staff.
You will:
Manage issuing and returning of library stockCatalogue and prepare new resources for useSupport students in accessing online and physical materialsRun the overdue system and maintain library organisationPromote reading through engaging library activitiesSupervise students and support a positive library environmentAssist with the library management system and stock control You’ll also step in to cover the Librarian when required, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Passionate about education, literacy, and student support
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Skilled in engaging young people and managing behaviour positively
