Key Responsibilities
Support the Transport Manager with the day-to-day running of transport operationsAssist with route planning and daily delivery schedulesSupport driver management, training and developmentMonitor drivers' hours, working time and transport complianceHelp forecast transport requirements and vehicle availabilitySupport fleet maintenance and ensure vehicles remain operationalResolve day-to-day transport issues and delivery challengesMaintain accurate transport records and documentationHelp ensure a safe, efficient and compliant transport operationWork closely with warehouse and operational teams Requirements
Previous experience within transport supervision, transport operations or a similar roleExperience working with tachographs requiredGood understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and transport legislationValid CPC requiredStrong people-management and communication skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environmentGood organisation and problem-solving abilityFlexible approach to working hours and early startsFull UK driving licence, minimum Category C1, required Benefits
