The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Semi Senior to join a friendly and growing accountancy practice based in Southend-on-Sea.
This role is ideally suited to an ambitious accounts professional with previous practice experience who is looking to progress their career within a supportive environment. You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to a range of industries while developing your technical accounting knowledge.
Due to the nature of the role and the firm's commitment to client service, applicants must be located within a 5-mile radius of Southend-on-Sea.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.Preparation and submission of VAT returns.Supporting the preparation of corporation tax computations.Bookkeeping and client accounting support.Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries professionally.Maintaining accurate financial records and working papers.Assisting senior staff with a variety of accounting assignments. About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience.Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping.Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.Excellent communication and client relationship skills.Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.A proactive approach and desire to develop professionally.Residency within a 5-mile radius of Southend-on-Sea.
