The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Semi Senior to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Rayleigh.
This role is ideal for an individual with previous accountancy practice experience who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. Working closely with senior team members, you will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, assisting with accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT returns, and wider client accounting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.Preparing and submitting VAT returns.Bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio.Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns.Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support.Maintaining accurate financial records and accounting files.Supporting senior accountants and managers with client assignments. About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice.AAT qualified. Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.Knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT compliance.Experience using software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.A positive and proactive approach to work.
