Air Conditioning Service Engineer - Northampton
We are recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join a growing HVAC business covering Northampton, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
This is a mobile service and maintenance position working across commercial and larger domestic air conditioning systems. The successful Air Conditioning Service Engineer will carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs and associated works while providing a professional service to customers.
The company offers an excellent package including door-to-door travel pay, overtime at time and a half and an annual performance bonus.
The Role
As an Air Conditioning Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned service and maintenance of split, multi-split and VRF air conditioning systemsDiagnosing faults during reactive service callsCompleting repairs and aiming to achieve a first-time fix wherever possibleCarrying out planned system repairs following quoted worksWorking across a range of commercial HVAC systemsSupporting installation and commissioning work when requiredMaintaining accurate service records, timesheets and completion paperworkEnsuring work complies with relevant Health & Safety requirementsProviding professional customer service while working on siteSupporting site handovers and demonstrations where required The Air Conditioning Service Engineer will work independently across customer sites while receiving support from an established engineering team.
What We're Looking For
The successful Air Conditioning Service Engineer will ideally have:
City & Guilds Level 2 F-Gas or equivalentPrevious air conditioning service and maintenance experienceExperience working with split, multi-split and VRF systemsStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsCommercial HVAC experienceExperience with commissioning would be advantageousKnowledge of AHUs and ventilation systems would be beneficialBasic electrical knowledge relevant to HVAC equipmentFull UK driving licenceGood customer-facing and communication skillsAbility to manage a mobile workload independently IPAF, PASMA, CSCS and relevant electrical qualifications would also be advantageous but aren't essential.
