As an Assistant Chef Manager, you'll be supporting the Chef Manager helping to prepare and serve nutritious food, while working as part of a team to deliver a great lunch service.
Let's talk about the role of an Assistant Chef Manager:
Support the Chef Manager with the day-to-day running of the kitchen Help plan, prepare and serve healthy, high-quality meals Supervise and support the catering team Assist with stock, ordering and kitchen supplies Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always met Maintain good food quality, portions and presentation Cover for the Chef Manager when required About the Ideal Assistant Chef Manager:
Committed to safeguarding children and young peopleFood Hygiene Level 2 certificate (required) NVQ Level 2/3 is highly desirable Passionate about delivering fresh, nutritious meals A supportive team player who can step up to lead when requiredWell-organised, with the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchenConfident assisting with stock control, ordering, and daily operationsGood understanding of food safety, allergens, and compliance standardsStrong communicator, able to work effectively with the team and wider stakeholdersProactive, reliable, and hands-on in supporting kitchen operationsCommitted to maintaining high standards of food and service Why join us?
Salary:£14.68 per hour (£19,381 per annum)
Hours: 30 hours per week - No Weekends, No Late Nights
Schedule:Term Time Only - Enjoy all School Holidays off
