We are working closely with a number of fantastic SEND schools and specialist provisions across Islington and are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join our growing team.

The Role You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
Autism (ASC)ADHDSpeech & Language NeedsLearning DifficultiesPhysical DisabilitiesSocial, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH) Responsibilities may include:
Providing 1:1 and small group supportAssisting pupils in accessing learning activitiesPromoting independence and confidenceSupporting behaviour and emotional regulationWorking closely with teachers and SENCOsHelping create a safe and inclusive learning environment Essential Requirements Enhanced DBS CertificateDBS registered on the Update ServicePrevious SEND experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPassion for supporting children and young people Desirable (But Not Essential) Experience working within a SEND schoolBackground in education, care, support work, youth work, or healthcareExperience with Autism, SEMH, PMLD, MLD, or SLD settingsRelevant qualifications such as Teaching Assistant, Psychology, Education Studies, Health & Social Care, or SEN training
