Role: Senior Accountant
Location: Brighton, East Sussex Hours: Full-time Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join one of our longstanding clients, an established practice in Brighton.
This is a senior, hands-on position managing a portfolio of key clients while overseeing workflow, supporting junior team members and providing a high standard of accountancy and tax advice.

The Requirements:
Significant previous experience within an accountancy practiceRelevant accounting/bookkeeping qualification or qualified by experienceStrong working knowledge of Sage and XeroExcellent organisation and time managementStrong people management and leadership skillsConfident written and verbal communicationAbility to analyse financial information accuratelyExcellent attention to detail
The Role:
Manage a portfolio of key clients and build strong relationshipsEnsure client submissions and deadlines are metAdvise clients on relevant accountancy and tax changesPrepare and submit VAT returnsPrepare statutory accounts for partnerships and limited companiesPrepare Directors' personal tax returns and review dividend positionsManage workflow and support the wider accounting teamOversee Bookkeepers and Account JuniorsTrain and develop junior staffPrepare P11Ds and work towards monthly billing targets
