Helping to prepare and submit planning applications and supporting documentsCarrying out planning research and reviewing national, regional and local policyContributing to site appraisals, planning assessments and development proposalsProducing reports, presentations, briefing notes and other materials for clientsTracking planning applications, appeals and other planning proceduresAssisting senior colleagues with project management and client requirements Skills and experience required for the Assistant Planner role:
A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Planning or a related disciplineSome planning experience, gained in consultancy, local government or a similar settingKnowledge of the UK planning system and current planning policyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong research and analytical skillsA keen eye for detail and good organisationThe capacity to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlinesComfort working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamA proactive attitude and readiness to take ownershipA genuine interest in the development industry and the commercial factors that shape planning decisions To apply, please call Sophie on or alternatively, send your CV and Portfolio across to
