Reed Finance are exclusively partnered with an international business based in the West Sussex area who are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead its UK finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining hands-on financial leadership with strategic business partnering.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will lead a small finance team whilst taking ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and commercial financial support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop and mentor a small finance teamOversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely reportingPrepare and present monthly financial reports to senior stakeholdersManage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activitiesDrive profitability through effective business partnering and financial analysisLead the annual audit process and statutory reporting requirementsManage payroll review and approval processesOversee pension schemes, employee benefits and related regulatory returnsMaintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, insurers and external partnersSupport the implementation of accounting standards and process improvementsWork closely with operational and project teams to provide commercial financial insight About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Previous experience in a senior finance leadership roleStrong technical accounting knowledgeProven experience managing and developing finance teamsExcellent budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skillsCommercially minded with strong business partnering capabilitiesExperience of ERP systems, ideally SAPAdvanced Excel skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesProactive, analytical and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience gained in the engineering or manufacturing sector Benefits
