The Opportunity
A highly regarded accountancy practice in Chichester is looking to recruit an Accountant to join its growing team.
Known for its collaborative culture and excellent client service, the firm combines traditional values with a modern approach, creating an environment where team members feel supported, valued, and encouraged to develop.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, gaining exposure to accounts preparation, tax compliance, bookkeeping, and client advisory work.
This is a permanent full time position, with flexible working arrangements and hybrid working available.
Salary is competitive and dependent on experience, qualifications, and working hours.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clientsSupporting clients with tax, VAT, and compliance requirementsAssisting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial recordsPreparing VAT returns and related submissionsLiaising directly with clients and responding to queriesWorking with cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooksSupporting process improvements and helping to enhance client service deliveryCollaborating closely with colleagues across the practice About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working within a UK accountancy practiceACA, ACCA, AAT, or equivalent qualifications, or be actively studying towards qualificationExperience preparing accounts and supporting tax compliance workStrong communication and client relationship management skillsExperience using cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooksA proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach What's on Offer?
