Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a supportive secondary school?
We are currently working with a secondary school in Newham that is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and wants to make a real difference to their education and development.
The Role
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with SENSupporting students to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessonsWorking closely with teachers and the school's SEN teamSupporting students with their social, emotional and academic developmentHelping students develop confidence, independence and positive learning behavioursAdapting support to meet individual students' needsAssisting with classroom activities and learning resourcesMaintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working with children or young people with SENExperience working within a school or educational setting is desirablePatient, calm and empathetic approachStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAble to build positive relationships with studentsConfident supporting students with a range of additional needsResilient, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a teamA genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential Why Apply?
