Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Maths Teacher looking for a part-time teaching opportunity in a supportive secondary school?
We are working with a secondary school in Redbridge that is looking for a dedicated and engaging Maths Teacher to join their team on a part-time 0.6 basis to cover maternity leave, starting towards the end of November or December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or an enthusiastic ECT who enjoys inspiring young people, building confidence in mathematics and helping students achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Role
Teaching Maths to students across Key Stages 3 and 4Opportunity to teach Key Stage 5, depending on experienceWorking on a part-time 0.6 timetable (3 days per week)Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and differentiated Maths lessonsSupporting students of varying abilities to develop their mathematical knowledge and confidencePreparing students for GCSE examinations and assessmentsMonitoring, assessing and recording student progressCreating a positive and inclusive classroom environmentManaging classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectationsWorking collaboratively with the Maths department and wider teaching teamSupporting students to achieve their academic potential The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualificationExperience teaching Maths at secondary level, particularly KS3 and KS4Experience teaching KS5 Maths would be advantageous but is not essentialA strong understanding of the secondary Maths curriculum and GCSE requirementsPassionate about teaching Maths and helping students succeedExcellent classroom management and communication skillsAbility to plan engaging lessons that motivate and challenge studentsConfident assessing student progress and providing constructive feedbackA positive, flexible and proactive approach to teachingExperienced teachers and ECTs are welcome to apply Why Apply?
