Job SummaryAbout the position: This is a Flexible (Intermittent) category position located at the Stukeley Inn, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. There are no guaranteed hours, and the incumbent may be required to work 0-40 hours per week, as needed. This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for long periods of time. This Position offers a Sign-On Bonus and an Extra Incentive Bonus for Retention.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME): No general or specialized experience is required. The incumbent must be able to follow simple oral instructions, prepare checks for patrons, communicate effectively with customers, and possess skill in dealing with the public.
Major DutiesThe purpose of this position is to perform a variety of manual tasks in food preparation and food service areas. 1. Sets up buffet lines, steam tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter and beverages. 2. Serve food cafeteria or buffet style. Breaks down and cleans area when meals are complete. Sets up dining room tables for service, places food and beverages on tables, and replenishes items as necessary. 3. Set up and operates dishwashers, performs preventive maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours and scrubs bowls, pots and pans. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks such as ceilings, exhaust hoods, under and behind kitchen equipment, washes floors and walls, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, sanitizes garbage cans. May unload food from delivery trucks. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area. 4. Assembles and mix fresh fruit or green salads in quantity using prepared dressings and allocates into standard serving sizes. Assembles pre-prepared toppings onto pizza bases. Make cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients. Make coffee, tea and other beverages. 5. Performs other related duties as assigned.
