About the Role
As Head Nurse, you’ll play a key leadership role in the clinic, shaping nursing standards, mentoring the team, and maintaining clinical excellence.
In this full‑time role, you will:
Lead, coach, and mentor our Veterinary Nursing teamBuild and nurture a positive, cohesive, and motivated team cultureManage daily workflow to support a high‑performing clinical environmentUndertake hands‑on nursing duties, including:Pre‑ and post‑operative careAnaesthesia and surgical supportAnimal pathologyEmergency and critical careWork closely with veterinarians to ensure gold‑standard patient careIdentify opportunities to improve clinic efficiency and processesHandle client enquiries professionally in person, via email, and over the phoneAbout You
You’re an experienced veterinary nurse who leads by example and brings confidence, compassion, and consistency to your team.
You’ll ideally have:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing3+ years’ clinical nursing experienceExperience coaching, mentoring, or leading nursing teamsA calm, supportive leadership styleExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organisation and attention to detailFlexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative mindsetFamiliarity with RxWorks (desirable, not essential)Why Join Greencross?
