About this role
We are seeking a skilled Structural Draftsman to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Structural Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed structural drawings and plans for various construction projects. You will work closely with structural engineers and architects to ensure accurate and efficient drafting of structural elements.
Prepare and modify structural drawings using CAD software, primarily AutoCAD and RevitInterpret architectural and engineering designs to create accurate structural plansCollaborate with structural engineers to ensure drawings meet project specifications and building codesPerform calculations and analyze structural components to support design decisionsCreate detailed drawings of structural elements, including foundations, beams, columns, and connectionsReview and update existing drawings as needed throughout the project lifecycleMaintain organized digital and physical files of all project-related drawings and documentsAssist in preparing material lists and quantity takeoffs for cost estimation purposesStay updated on local building regulations and industry standards in Dubai and the UAEParticipate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients Associate's degree or diploma in Structural Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 2-3 years of experience in structural draftingProficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and RevitStrong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practicesExcellent ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawingsAdvanced mathematical and analytical skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in workGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenUnderstanding of building codes and standards, with specific knowledge of local regulations in Dubai and the UAEFamiliarity with various construction materials and methodsAutoCAD certification is preferredAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlinesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work using modeling software’s such as ( Revit , AutoCAD , Plant 3D )Ability to use clash detection software’s such as NavisworksHave strong engineering background in both mechanical and electrical fieldHave fair knowledge on the MEP & HVAC system components and usesAbility to use Microsoft office applicationsCompliance with policies and procedures based on the ISO standards adopted by CNS.
