About this role
In the Accounting Clerk position, you will provide accurate and timely processing of varied accounting transactions. Areas of responsibility will include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory. This position is also responsible for accounting tasks related to five additional related companies.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable which includes: gather appropriate approval/support, ensure timely payment to vendors, GL coding, process checks if needed and process Wire/ACH to international vendors/factoriesManage Accounts Receivable which includes: daily payments application, research/dispute chargebacks, analyze aging schedule regularly & contact customers on aged accounts and monthly deposit reconciliationManage Company’s Credit Cards which includes: gather supporting receipts, GL coding and monthly reconciliationAssist in Payroll which includes: data entry, time clock management, incentive calculations and payroll processing if neededAssist in Month and Year end close which includes: accruals, prepaids, journal entries, intercompany transactions and bank statement reconciliationAssist in Inventory which includes: receive and balance incoming shipments and monthly reconciliationAd-hoc responsibilities as required
High School Diploma is required, College Degree is a plusMinimum of 1-3 years of related experienceBasic knowledge of accounting or worked in an accounting environmentProficient in Excel, Outlook, WordExperience with QuickBooks is a plusExperience with multiple entities and intercompany transactions is a plusKnowledge of prominent ecommerce platforms like Amazon, Overstock, Wayfair, Shopify, PayPal is a plusExcellent time and project management skillsDetail oriented and proficient in data entryPossess strong written and verbal communication skillsPossess natural ability to provide outstanding customer service both internal and externalAbility to handle information confidentially Legal rights to work for any employer in the USClear background check & drug tests
