We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Material Handler to join our team in Mission, Canada. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that materials flow smoothly from receiving through to shipping. Receive, verify, and process incoming vendor shipments and customer returns by obtaining packing slips, checking for discrepancies, and entering material into the computer systemPick and pack customer orders with meticulous attention to detail, comparing items to shipping documentation to ensure accuracyLoad and unload trucks safely and efficiently, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with all safety protocolsAssemble and prepare materials for shipment, completing all necessary documentation including Transportation of Dangerous Goods paperwork when requiredIdentify and properly store special order items, damaged materials, and returns in designated locationsDocument and report shipping discrepancies to the appropriate team members and initiate freight claims as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by removing empty cartons, pallets, metal banding, and other debrisCommunicate proactively with supervisors regarding inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and any safety concerns that could impact customer serviceAssist teammates in providing excellent customer service at the counter when neededPerform additional tasks as assigned by management to support operational goals High school diploma or equivalent; college or university degree is an assetMinimum 1 year of warehouse or material handling experienceExcellent customer service and verbal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to accurately process orders and verify inventoryPhysical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periodsAbility to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (training provided)Intermediate math skills for counting, verifying, and reconciling inventoryAbility to learn and operate warehouse management software systemsStrong organizational and time management skillsCommitment to following all health, safety, and regulatory requirementsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentResilience and adaptability when managing multiple priorities**Preferred Skills:**
