About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Design Engineer specializing in ELV (Electrical, Lighting, and Vertical Transportation) systems to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive BIM models and coordinating ELV systems across complex building projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration and compliance with building standards and project requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical, lighting, and vertical transportation systems using industry-standard softwareCoordinate ELV systems with other building disciplines to identify and resolve clashes and conflictsPrepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for ELV systems in compliance with Indian building codes and project standardsConduct 3D modeling and visualization of electrical and lighting layouts to optimize design efficiencyPerform clash detection and coordination analysis using BIM coordination toolsCollaborate with project teams to ensure accurate representation of ELV systems in the overall building modelReview and validate BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirementsSupport project delivery by providing timely BIM updates and coordinating with consultants and contractorsMaintain organized project files and documentation following established BIM protocols and standardsParticipate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical input on ELV system integration Proficiency in BIM modeling software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or equivalent platformsStrong knowledge of ELV systems design, including electrical distribution, lighting design, and vertical transportationCompetency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling toolsExperience with MEP coordination and clash detection methodologiesSolid understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to IndiaExcellent technical drawing and documentation skills3-7 years of professional experience in BIM design, MEP coordination, or related engineering rolesDemonstrated experience with ELV systems on commercial or institutional projectsFamiliarity with BIM coordination standards and best practicesStrong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detailAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teamsPreferred experience with Navisworks or similar clash detection and coordination softwarePreferred knowledge of Indian building codes and standards (National Building Code of India)
