Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using industry-standard CAD and modeling software, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standardsConduct detailed engineering analysis, including thermodynamic calculations, fluid mechanics assessments, and structural evaluations to optimize system performance and efficiencyProduce comprehensive technical documentation, including design drawings, schematics, specifications, and detailed reports that clearly communicate design intent and requirementsCollaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other discipline specialists to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within larger project frameworksPerform equipment selection, sizing, and specification based on project requirements, operational parameters, and maintenance considerationsConduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of designs and deliverables, identifying and resolving technical issues proactivelySupport project teams through the design, procurement, and implementation phases, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting expertiseMaintain accurate project documentation, revision control, and adherence to established engineering governance processesMentor junior engineers and CAD resources, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellenceStay current with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to mechanical engineering Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; Diploma holders with equivalent professional experience will be considered5-10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with demonstrated expertise in system design, analysis, and deliveryStrong proficiency with mechanical design and modeling software (CAD, Revit, or equivalent platforms)Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, mechanical systems, or related building services; experience with large-scale and complex facility projects is highly valuedComprehensive knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical system design principlesExperience with equipment selection, sizing, and specification for mechanical systemsDemonstrated ability to produce detailed technical documentation, drawings, and schedules with accuracy and clarityProficiency in quality assurance and quality control processes; familiarity with engineering governance and BIM standards is a plusExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical challengesStrong collaborative and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teamsSolid project management fundamentals and ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines efficientlyKnowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirementsPreferred: Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent; experience with project coordination and client interactionStrong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences
