We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Principal Engineer - Structures to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. In this pivotal role, you will lead the structural design and analysis of complex building and infrastructure projects, driving technical excellence and innovation. You will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, establishing best practices, and ensuring all designs comply with relevant building codes and standards. Lead the structural design and analysis of large-scale building and infrastructure projects from conception through completionDevelop and review structural designs using advanced analysis software and ensure compliance with applicable building codes and standards (IS 875, IS 1893, IBC, Eurocode)Conduct complex structural analysis including static, dynamic, and non-linear analysis as required for project specificationsMentor and guide junior and mid-level structural engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvementCollaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to integrate structural solutions with overall project requirementsPrepare comprehensive technical documentation, design reports, and construction drawings with precision and clarityEvaluate and recommend innovative structural solutions that optimize cost, constructability, and sustainabilityParticipate in design reviews, value engineering sessions, and client presentations to communicate technical concepts effectivelyEstablish and maintain quality standards for structural design deliverables across the organizationStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and updates to building codes and standardsManage project timelines and budgets while maintaining the highest standards of structural integrity and safety **Required Qualifications:**
Minimum 12 years of professional experience in structural engineering and designAdvanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent toolsDemonstrated expertise in the design of reinforced concrete (RCC), steel, and composite structuresStrong knowledge of Indian building codes (IS 875, IS 1893) and international standards (IBC, Eurocode)Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and RevitProven experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical documentationStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detailOrganized approach to managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated project deliveryKnowledge of advanced structural analysis techniques including finite element analysis (FEA) and dynamic analysisBackground in large-scale infrastructure, high-rise, or complex structural projectsExperience mentoring and developing junior engineersFamiliarity with sustainable design practices and green building standards (LEED, IGBC)Understanding of construction methodologies and constructability analysisExperience with structural health monitoring or retrofit projects
