We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Architectural Design Reviewer to join our organization in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive reviews of architectural designs, ensuring compliance with building standards, codes, and project specifications. You will work collaboratively with design teams to identify areas for improvement, provide constructive feedback, and drive design excellence across all projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, decisive judgment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of architectural quality.
Review architectural designs, drawings, and documentation for compliance with building codes, regulations, and project requirementsAnalyze design proposals and provide detailed feedback to design teams regarding feasibility, functionality, and adherence to standardsConduct quality assurance assessments on design deliverables, including plans, elevations, sections, and technical specificationsIdentify design conflicts, inconsistencies, and potential construction issues before project implementationCollaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve design challenges and optimize solutionsPrepare comprehensive design review reports documenting findings, recommendations, and required modificationsEnsure all designs comply with local Egyptian building codes and regulatory requirementsParticipate in design meetings and presentations to communicate review outcomes and design improvementsMaintain organized documentation of all design reviews and maintain records for project archivesMentor junior team members on design standards, best practices, and review methodologiesStay current with industry standards, emerging design trends, and regulatory updates Minimum 5 years of professional experience in architectural design review, quality assurance, or related fieldProficiency in CAD software and design documentation toolsStrong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and architectural regulationsExperience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software and workflowsDemonstrated expertise in analyzing architectural drawings and technical specificationsExcellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate design feedback clearlyStrong organizational and project management capabilitiesProficiency in identifying design conflicts and proposing practical solutionsKnowledge of local Egyptian building regulations and construction practicesExperience with design compliance documentation and regulatory submissionsFamiliarity with sustainability and green building design principlesProven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAttention to detail and commitment to design excellencePreferred experience in mentoring or leading design review teams
