Design and repair of highway and interstate bridge projects from conception through completionPerform structural engineering calculations and analyses throughout all project phases, from preliminary to final designDevelop comprehensive plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimatesProvide construction support services, including responding to requests for information (RFIs) and reviewing shop drawingsCollaborate with project teams, interdisciplinary consultants, the Florida Department of Transportation, and external reviewers to ensure quality and accuracyMentor and develop junior engineering staffOversee project documentation and ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and scope requirements The Expertise You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering8+ years of hands-on structural design experienceFlorida Professional Engineer (PE) licenseProven experience in FDOT bridge design and plans production, including reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, post-tensioned substructures, steel plate and box girder bridges, retaining walls, noise walls, box culverts, and sign/signal structuresAdvanced proficiency with structural design software such as Leap Bridge, MDX, FB Multi-Pier, CSI Bridge, LARSA, STAAD, Atlas, and FDOT Mathcad Structures Design ProgramsExpert-level skills in structural drafting using MicroStation and OpenBridge ModelerPreferred:
Track record of managing engineering projects with strong attention to budget, quality, scope, and stakeholder coordinationSpecialized experience designing steel plate and box girder bridges
