WHAT’S THE JOB?
The General Helper/Dishwasher is responsible for assisting in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes. Note this is a seasonal position which coincides with the operation of the school year.
Your work will include:
Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen and all aspects within the kitchenKeep Kitchen organizedClean kitchen floors; sweep and mopping, storage room areas, fridges as wellClean refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipmentWash pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as requiredDeep cleaning on a daily/weekly basis of the dish machine, ovens, etc.Help keep storage rooms and fridges/freezers cleaned and organizedMaintain Cleaning Records and LogsMaintain Garbage room, sort according to waste streamsUnderstanding WINNOW
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have a minimum 1 year kitchen or catering experience in Food Service Industry, hospitality environment or remote lodge settingYou are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skillsYou have at least Food Safe Level I. Safe Check advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an asset. You are able to prioritize multiple demands You are able to obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)Physically capable; physical demanding jobAble to lift, carry, push up to 25lbs and for long periods of timeFull availability required WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
