About this role
The Lead Facility Engineer serves as the Key On-Site Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technical Lead at CMI’s customer facility in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. This position provides direct technical oversight, operational leadership, and quality control across site operations, building automation systems, and general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to maintain compliance with contract requirements and Performance Work Statement (PWS) standards.
Key Job Functions
Oversee the chiller plant, boilers, and kitchen repairsSupervise and advise O&M staffVerify the completion of all work ordersEnsure heating and cooling mechanical systems and their equipment and/or components function safely, reliably, efficiently, and economicallyEnsure facility Building Automation System (BAS) are properly maintained and operated within facility operational parametersEnsure the Computerized Maintenance Management System is kept currentRespond to after-hours emergencies from off shift personnel Minimum 10 years experience with a crew of 10 or moreStrong analytical and diagnostic skills to solve operational issues or failures with electrical systems, control systems, fire alarm systems and mechanical systemsWorking knowledge of theories, principles, practical concepts, systems, and processes related to fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, industry codes, and techniques.
