About this role
As Operational Buyer you will make sure relations with suppliers are good and all needed items for production (steel, painting powder...) and needed items for customer deliveries (footplates, protectors, rowspacers...) are ordered/called off on time. You will follow-up on deliveries with suppliers to confirm items are delivered on time.
Confirm and manage stock levels of raw materials and material requirements for production, and call off materials in timeOrder purchased goods in-line with category strategies while selecting vendors within outlined available pricingManage outstanding purchase orders to update delivery dates as demand requiresConvert purchase requisitions into purchase orders and follow up delivery of orders according to requested delivery dateManage daily relationship between the factory and its suppliersProvide input on supplier performance (delivery, quality, …) to central category managers for regular supplier evaluationSolve potential invoice blocks due to quantity or price discrepancies 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management and/or PurchasingAbility to analyze numerical data to identify trends, generate actionable insights and support evidence-based decision makingAbility to act in a fast-moving environmentProven experience contributing to process improvementSoftware expertise with SAP or similar business intelligence toolsStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
