Major DutiesYou will will serve as a Materials Expediter in the Facilities Maintenance Section, Public Works Office, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA at which the mission is to provide management, maintenance and repair to real property.You will provide assets, parts and materials support for the general maintenance and repair of facilities, appliances, building structures, associated equipment, and real property assets.You will research procurement information, utilizing past experience to determine the kind and quantities of assets, parts, and materials to be maintained on-hand.You will be routing and expediting the movement of parts, end items, supplies, and material within production and repair facilities to meet priority needs.You will monitor parts utilization and stock on hand, via visual assessment of Warehouse supplies and/ or the using the automated database program.You will coordinate requests from shop supervisory personnel, planners and technicians for parts and industrial supplies.You will receive material in the Warehouse, Warehousing Cell or Dockside; check item numbers/ documentation and physical attributes of item for accuracy and record receipt of items.You will keep abreast of repair parts usage, utilizing historical data based on information obtained from Maximo and PR Builder information systems.
