Job SummaryThis SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position, is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ), Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG/G4) and is part of the CA JFHQ Logistics.

QualificationsGeneral Experience: Possess experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; Experience using computer and automation systems. SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level experience in identifying activities involving logistical support operations; Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan; Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Major DutiesTHIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12, is to provide logistics guidance and support to units, organizations and activities through the management of logistics activities. Responsible to provide supervision for Plans and Policy, Food Service, Defense Movement, Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO), Command Property Management, Aerial Delivery Logistics Facilities(ADLF) and Supply and Services. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.RequirementsCALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. AREA II= Current California National Guard members. Military Grades: O-3 through O-5 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS Relocation Costs MAY BE authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation, funding, and an agency determination that a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is in the Government's best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a one or two year trial period. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required.
