Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Psychiatry Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Family Intake Therapist will work the In-patient Psychiatry unit performing group therapy, discharge planning, assessment and case management. Will also provides family assessments, family therapy, crisis intervention, and telephone triage for psychiatric inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients as needed. Participates in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Provides case management services for all patients. Manages patients' mental health benefits, and keeps informed of all information regarding the patient's treatment and their payor. Available for Intake on-call on as needed basis.
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:45am - 5:30pm (40 hour week)
Education/Experience:
• Master's level in Social Work or related field. • Child growth and development education required.
• Experience in providing family therapy. • Hospital and Pediatric Psych experience preferred. Certification/Licensure:
• Licensed by State of Texas: LMSW or LCSW.
• Qualified as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health.
• CPR Heartsaver Certification.
• CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position must be completed within 60 days of start date.
