What you will have an opportunity to do: We are seeking an experienced Floor Technician who will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all carpeted and hard floor surfaces throughout our Resort facilities. This role is very physically demanding and the successful candidate must be able to efficiently operate large hotel specific floor and cleaning equipment as well as perform preventative maintenance. Primary responsibilities for the Floor Technician position include but not limited to the following:
• Vacuum, shampoo and thoroughly clean carpets using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. • Mop, strip, scrub, and buff various hard floor surfaces within the Resort. • Work collaboratively with housekeeping and maintenance teams. • Respond to emergency spills and other floor cleaning requests as needed. • Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to safety and resort standards. • Operate and maintain all floor machinery or equipment efficiently and safely. • Follow health and safety regulations ensuring the proper handling and storage of chemicals. • Always ensure the cleanliness of assigned spaces meet quality standards. · Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
What are we looking for? · Minimum 3-4 years of Floor Technician or similar experience in a Luxury Resort environment required.
• Hospitality Certificate, Diploma or formal training preferred. • Must have knowledge of floor care techniques and safety procedures. • Proven experience using floor and carpet cleaning equipment in large Resort establishments required. • Must be physically able to stand for extended periods, lift, push or pull 40-50 lbs. • Must be able to work independently, exercise attention to detail, and maintain a positive attitude. · Excellent command of the English language (spoken, written, reading, and comprehension) required.
• Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner. • Must be able to handle difficult situations involving guests or others in a professional manner. • This physically demanding role will require regular standing, walking, bending, use of hands to handle tools, machinery or various controls. • Must be flexible to work all required shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays.
Compensation: CI$6.56 - CI$6.56
