We are seeking a motivated and capable third engineer to join our vessel for an 8 weeks on and off rotation. The ideal candidate will already hold Second Engineer license. The vessel will not resume sailing until beginning of 2027. Right now, maintenance is mainly being carried out. We are looking for someone who can work independently in the engine room and place the delivered spare parts in their proper locations. You should have a good command of English, and any knowledge of Portuguese is a plus. If you meet these required qualifications, you are the perfect fit for this postion. The team you will join consist of highly experienced engineers who will assist you as needed. Job description - Assist the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in the day-to-day engine room operations - Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as required - Manage watchkeeping duties in coordination with the Engine Department, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations - Maintain accurate logs, charts, and engine room records - Communicate effectively with the bridge team Requirements: - Officer of Engine room watch or higher - All stcw certificates and trainings up to date - Good English level - Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus Experience: - Experience in a bigger engine room is required. Experience in a drydock with a lot of maintenance is a plus.
