Work tasks: - dismantling the steering gear and performing repairs; - dismantling and assembling the propulsion unit; - dismantling and installing the propeller; - preparing for measurements of the inner and outer diameters of rudder and stern tube bearings; - checking and adjusting shaft alignment. Other requirements: Welding skills relevant to gas cutting are desirable; ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.); ability to operate lifting equipment during dismantling and the installation of steering and propulsion systems.
