Cork Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 1:30pm – 6:00pm Friday: 1:30pm – 5:00pm Position:** Afterschool Childcare Worker Job Description Tots To Teens Childcare Ltd. is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Afterschool Childcare Worker to join our team in Carraignavar, Co. Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, fun and welcoming environment for school-aged children during our afterschool programme. No formal childcare qualifications are required for this position.** Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. Key Responsibilities Supervise and care for school-aged children in a safe and supportive environment. Organise and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities, games, arts and crafts. Support children with their daily routines and encourage positive social interactions. Assist with snack and meal times. Encourage independence, teamwork and positive behaviour. Maintain a clean, safe and organised childcare environment. Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues. Work effectively as part of the childcare team. Follow all childcare policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality. Essential Requirements No formal childcare qualifications required. A genuine interest in working with children. A friendly, caring and patient personality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, responsible and punctual. Ability to organise and engage children in activities. Willingness to learn and follow childcare policies and procedures. Successful completion of Garda vetting and relevant pre-employment checks.
