About this role
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for rating and issuance of new and renewal business for the commercial lines department. Specific duties include:
Utilizing risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance market place, organizes and submits submissions to carriersReceives and analyzes quotes from carriers and provides analysis to clients including analysis of: accuracy, pricing, coverage, services, quote comparisons, financing, commentary and recommendationResponsible for order bind and the accuracy of programs upon client and/or producer direction
Negotiates rates and premiumsPerfroms on-line rating of accountsAnalyzes the specifics of customer's coverage requirements as well as the offerings of different carriers and provides advice accordinglyMaintain marketing updates in the shared marketing departmentDevelops productive relationships with carriersKeeps all parties updated as to progressREsponsible for the final placement delivered to the clientIdentifies the need for new products and develops innovative solutions for clients
This position requires a minimum of four year's work experience in marketing activities for property and commercial lines insurance. Specific knowledge, competencies and talents must include:
Demonstrable knowledge of commercial lines coverage and carriersProfessional level written and verbal communication skillsStrong negotiating skillsHigh level of analytical ability and detail orientationTeam player who is service oriented with internal and external customersComputer literate, able to independently find and use required information. Experience with AMS highly desired.
