About this role

We are seeking a Production Team Lead to work at one of our facilities. The Production Team Lead reports to the Production Supervisor and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors. As part of your role you will be responsible for:

Directing, coordinating and planning the activities of a specific production department under master production schedule and the hourly work force (including machine operators, i.e., milling, mixing, canning equipment, etc.) involved in the manufacture of productServing as lead person for a group of hourly employees utilizing established methods, normally to a maximum of 15 employeesCommunicating procedures to all subordinates, assuring they are understood and implemented when applicableInterpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns dutiesAdditional assigned duties as directed by Production Supervisor or Production Manager. To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

Have 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturingHave a High School diploma or GED equivalentHave manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experienceDemonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of Production processesHave excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skills in order to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skillsHave prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through othersPossess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in Manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPMIn addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:
